TV6 - Alpe d'HuZes
Inspired by the story of Bas Mulder (check out the video on his site) I decided to stand up against cancer and ride up Alpe d'Huez 6 times on June 7th 2012. This insane action is organised by the Dutch Alpe d’HuZes foundation. The goal of this foundation is to collect as much funds as possible in the fight against cancer. 100% of all collected funds go directly to projects selected by the Alpe d’HuZes foundation. More details on my action page (Dutch).
On Wednesday June 6th I filmed the Alpe d’Huez during the event. With thousands of participants on the road, this is an unique and inspiring Real Life Video which tries to capture the true atmosphere of this event. Feel how riders suffer, enjoy the supporters on the side. This video is also a perfect training tool for Alpe d'HuZes.
The total length of this training video is 14.8km with an average slope of 7.2% (12.7% max) and you will cover 1.100 height meters along the route. The film starts at the roundabout in Bourg d'Oisans and ends at the Avenue des Brandes. Video resolution is 1920 x 992 pixels.
