Who's that girl?

Who's that girl?
In case you are wondering who the girl pictured on this site is: that's my wife Mirjam! She enjoys climbing and "beating" mountains by bike. On this picture she is climbing a tough hill while enjoying the wonderful view on the Prato valley, very close to the beautiful Passo Stelvio located in the equally beautiful Italian Dolomites area.

On the picture you can actually see the Prato village. Prato is the start place of the climb of the Stelvio (from the Northern side). In case you haven't done this climb yet: put it on your todo list now. This side of the Stelvio Pass was picked by the British automotive show Top Gear as its choice for the "greatest driving road in the world", and rightly so! One of my plans is to film this pass in the near future as well.

There is also a (highly recommended!) Tacx Real Life Video which includes the ascent of the Stelvio, but in this video you climb the Stelvio from the South (Bormio). Still very beautiful, but just bit less intimidating than the 48 hairpins which the Northern side throws at you!
